William F. Bryans Jr.

William F. Bryans, Jr., age 77, of North Tonawanda, August 13, 2021, at Elderwood Nursing Home in Wheatfield after being diagnosed about a year and half ago of ALS and dementia. Bill owned/operated Bryans Decorating Center for 30 years which he closed in 2005. He then engaged in Real Estate with Coldwell-Banker Integrity Realty until he was forced to retire due to illness.

Bill made so many friends because he genuinely cared about everyone. He always went the extra mile to help even a stranger out. He has a great love of his family and is so proud of all his children. As his wife of almost 23 years, I can say he is the easiest person to live with and he would do anything he possibly could to make me happy. He is a true old school gentleman and has been the love of my life. No one will ever take his place. I love you Bill, with all my heart.

Bill was born July 6, 1944,  the son of the late William F. Bryans, Sr. and Catherine G. (nee Powell) Bryans and brother of the late James Bryans and the late Cathy (Jack) Cadwalader.  He is the beloved husband of Patricia L. (nee Rex) Bryans; father of William (Chris) Bryans of Stuart, Florida, Susan (Mike Timm) Bryans of Virginia Beach, VA, Sean Bryans of Panama City Beach, Florida and step-father to Patrick (Amanda) Smith, Jr. of Bath, New York; Grandfather of Aaron (Emily) Diermyer, Jacob (Angela) Diermyer, Samantha, Jaxon and Sydney Bryans and Great-grandfather of A.J., Gavin and Briella. Brother of Maryann (Lee) Gillingham of Hudson, Fl. and John Bryans of Tonawanda, NY. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 PM on Sunday only at the Fretthold & Hamp funeral home , 37 Adam Street at Seymour St. in Tonawanda, NY. A Mass  of Christian Burial will be celebrated  on Monday at 11:00 AM  at St. Timothy’s R.C. Church, 565 E Park Dr, Tonawanda, NY.  Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kenmore, NY.
