Thomas A. Russell

Thomas A. Russell, age 75, of Freedom, New York, died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 19, 2019. Born August 21, 1944 in St. Mary's, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Thomas and Marcella (nee Huff) Russell and was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Formerly of North Tonawanda, Thomas had resided in Freedom since 1984 and was employed at Robinson Paving in Wales before retiring.

He was the husband of Judith Ann (nee Hassett) Russell; father of Tim (Yvonne) Russell of Arcade, Tom Russell of West Seneca, Lynn (Jason) Hetrick of Duncannon, Pennsylvania, Rob (Jody) Breeden of North Tonawanda, and the late Mike Breeden; and brother of the late Jackie Nesbitt. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and several nephews.

Friends may call from 11 AM - 1 PM on Monday at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday; the Rev. James Hassett officiating. Friends invited. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda. If desired, memorials to the Arcade Fire Department, PO Box 303, Arcade, NY 14089, are preferred by the family.
