Robert F. Chelikowsky

Robert F. Chelikowsky, age 86, of North Tonawanda, passed peacefully in the care of Niagara Hospice. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Anton and Florence Chelikowsky, and his loving wife, Bonnie Chelikowsky (nee Berg). Robert leaves behind his children, Denise (Robert) Curto, and Joseph Chelikowsky; his grandchildren, Derrick and Bonnie Chelikowsky; and his siblings, Mary (the late Joseph) Rank, and Kathleen (Robert) Luescher. He will also be missed by Daisy, his dog.

Robert was a dedicated volunteer Fireman with Sweeney Hose. He spent his free time coaching, playing umpire, and on the board for the local little league. He worked for the Buffalo News most of his life and became an avid traveler, taking trips to Tennessee and all over the Caribbean.

Friends may call at Fretthold and Hamp Funeral Home (corner of Adam and Seymour in the City of Tonawanda) on Sunday, April 23rd, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 6:00pm - 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held the following morning, Monday, April 24th, at 11:00am at Salem United Church of Christ (114 Morgan St., City of Tonawanda).
