Obituary
Martha Mary Sheldon (Russell) age 81, of the City of Tonawanda, March 2, 2023, in Mercy Hospital, Buffalo following a brief illness. Martha was a graduate of Tonawanda High School class of 1959. She was an avid gardener and a folk artist. Beloved wife of William Sheldon. Mother of Susan (Brian) Gawley; grandmother of Devon Gawley. Sister of Robert Archibald; aunt of several cherished nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Fretthold and Hamp Funeral Home, 37 Adam St., in Tonawanda on Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM from the St. Francis Chapel, 73 Adam St., in Tonawanda. Interment in St. Francis Chapel Columbarium. If so desired memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be shared at frettholdandhamp.com
