Marie T. Geisel

Marie Theresa Geisel (Stoy) age 93, of Wheatfield, formerly of Tonawanda & Williamsville passed away January 4, 2021. Marie was born in Ashville, PA: daughter of the late Russell and Julia (Lidwell) Stoy. Later the family moved to Windber, Pa where she met her husband, Carl L. They married July 1952 in Niagara Falls and resided in Tonawanda. He died November 13. 1991. She was preceded in death by her parents: her husband; infant brothers, Donnie Ray, Joseph Raymond and George: brothers Roger and Russ: sisters Margaret Beiswenger, Dorothy Mansfield and M Janet Stoy: in-laws Raymond, Donald, Joseph, Francis, Richard, Roy, William. Alma and Frances.  She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy (Russell) Anderson, and sons, J David (Nancy) and Timothy; 8 grandchildren Jonathan (Angie), Keith (Kelly), Lisa, Julie (Rocky), Andrew (Laura), Carl, Mark (Emily) and Beth; 7 great-grandchildren Jennifer, Christopher, Jefferson, Savannah, Benjamin, Deacon and Graham. She is also survived by her sisters Catherine Stoy, Regina Nosal, Judie Engbert, Jackie Fetchko, Bonnie Stoy; sisters-in-laws Joanne Stoy, Mary Jo Stoy and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Marie was a devout Catholic, loving Wife, Mother, Mother-in-law, Grammie and Great-Grammie, Sister and Aunt. She was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church, where served as a religious teacher, worked on Sunday envelopes and Outreach volunteer. She was a Forever Young member, enjoying bingo and playing cards. She loved her rosaries, Mass on TV, the flag & what it stood for, her family and always saying "May God bless and protect you always". She will be missed by many. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10 Am from the St. Francis of Assisi Chapel, 73 Adam St., in Tonawanda, NY. Entombment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
