James E. Deacon

James Edward Deacon, "Deac", age 66, of Tonawanda, suddenly went to be with our Lord and Savior on November 19, 2023. 

Jim enjoyed bowling and traveling to Florida. Jim liked to listen to old time radio shows. He enjoyed volunteering and servicing his community. He was an usher at his church. He was active with the Knights of Columbus. He worked in multiple capacities for the City of Tonawanda for 30 years, before enjoying retirement. He was an avid Buffalo sports fan. 

Loving husband of 30 years to Anne Deacon (nee Mott), loving father of Benjamin "Ben", Emily, and Jessica. Son of Delma Deacon (nee Buonamici) and the late Edward J. Deacon. Brother of Barbara (Jim) Whiting, and Eileen (Lee) Brusino. Uncle to Zachary Whiting, Austin and Michael as well as 16 other nieces and nephews on the Mott family side. He is also survived by many other loving relatives and friends. He will be missed dearly. 

Family and friends are invited to visit at Fretthold and Hamp Cremation and Funeral Services, located at 37 Adam St in Tonawanda on Friday, November 24th, from 4pm - 7pm. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, November 25th, at 11:30am, at St. Francis R.C. Parish, 144 Broad Street, in Tonawanda. Interment in St. Francis Columbarium.  Please make memorial donations to St. Francis Food Pantry.
