Georgia Anson Obituary

Georgia (nee Mitchell) Anson, age 90, of North Tonawanda, formerly of Warsaw, NY, died Monday, May 4, 2020 at St. Joseph Post Acute Care Center in Orchard Park, after a long illness. Born September 2, 1929 in Syracuse, she was the daughter of the late George and Christine (nee Robertson) Mitchell. Mrs. Anson was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Tonawanda, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed sewing, baking, and caring for her pet cats.

She was the wife of the late John H. Anson, who died August 7, 2005; mother of Susan Anson of Hermosa Beach, California, Beth (Jim Cutler) Wheeler of Bainbridge Island, Washington, and John (Patricia) Anson of North Tonawanda; and grandmother of Bennett Maggiacomo, Alexandra Maggiacomo, Hannah Cutler, Nolan Anson, and Leah Anson.

Services were cared for privately. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Pultneyville, New York.
