Eileen Kay Kifner (nee McKinley), of Buffalo, passed away peacefully on May 26th, 2023. Eileen was born to Edward and Bernice McKinley. The loving wife of the late Peter Jerome Kifner. Cherished mother of Kelly (Patrick) Hanna and Debra (Doug) Wolf. Grandmother of Emily Hanna and step grandmother of Amanda and Brandon Wolf. Sister of Edward (Judith) McKinley, Walter “Mack” (Robyn) McKinley, Janice (James) Dudley, and the late Kevin McKinley. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, her canine companion, Barney, and her “honorary children”’ Larry Colebrook and Joseph Hicks.
Eileen was a loving mother, sister, and friend. She loved to spoil her grandchild more than anything. She enjoyed bingo, going to the casino, and playing card games. She also loved doing ceramics, and crocheting. She was proud to be crowned the “Queen of Hornell” as a baby and loved to share that with new friends. She could often be found with a Pepsi in hand and a smile on her face.
A Memorial Service will be held in her honor on Wednesday, June 7th, at 9:30AM, at Fretthold and Hamp Funeral Home, (37 Adam St. in Tonawanda, corner of Seymour St.), Reverend Sabastian Pierro officiating. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Western New York.
