Obituary
Dr. Karyn E. Beningo - Rozman, of Niagara Falls, NY, age 55, passed away with her family by her side on June 30, 2023 after a 2 year courageous battle with cancer.
She was born October 25, 1967. Daughter of the late Richard Beningo and Patricia Ann Marangine. Karyn graduated as co-valedictorian in 1985 from Niagara Wheatfield High School. She graduated in 1989 from Niagara University. She continued her education and graduated in 1993 from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine. In 1999 she completed her Veterinary Dermatology Residency at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in Ithica, NY. She was a diplomat of the American College of Dermatology. Karyn opened her own practice, a highly respected veterinary clinic, (Veterinary Dermatology Service of WNY) located in East Amherst, NY from 2002 - 2022.
Karyn had a true passion for caring for all animals, and loved her pets Gracie, Holly, and Rupert. She was a kind, caring, and compassionate woman. She enjoyed taking rides on the Harley with her husband Danny. She frequented craft shows and festivals. She loved dining out with her husband.
Loving wife of Daniel Rozman, whom she married on December 17, 2018, in Las Vegas. Beloved daughter of Patricia Marangine and the late Richard Beningo. Step-daughter of the late Ted Marangine. Step-mother of Rachel (Josh) Abhold. Sister of Steven Beningo, Step-sister of Roslind Jagow; Granddaughter of Leroy & Augusta Herron, and Anthony & Marion Beningo. Goddaughter to Pauline Mascaro; Daughter-in-law of John Rozman and Susan Laughrin; Sister-in-law to Chris (Jim), Paula, Andrea, and Beth. Also survived by several cousins, as well as many fantastic friends and associates.
Family and friends are invited to Fretthold and Hamp Funeral Home, 37 Adam Street, in Tonawanda on Saturday, July 8th at 12:00pm. A Celebration of Karyn’s Life will begin at 12:30 PM. A light lunch to follow.
