Christine M. Snyder - Watkins

Christine (Chrissy) Marie Snyder-Watkins, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2023. 

She was born on June 14, 1978 in North Tonawanda, NY and graduated from Tonawanda High School. Chrissy went on to attend Alfred University, where she was Chapter President of the Delta Zeta Sorority. She graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology.

In 2007 she married Timothy Watkins of Towanda, PA and welcomed their son Brady in 2012. Nothing brought Chrissy more joy than being a doting mom to Brady. 

She was proud of her 23 year career as a social worker in early childhood intervention, most recently working for the Monroe County Department of Health in Rochester, NY. 

She is survived by her caring husband Tim, her son Brady, her parents Glenn and Pam Snyder, her loving brother Eric and fur baby Rocky. 

She is also survived by her in-laws, Carl and Jean Watkins, Brothers in law Craig (Kristina) Watkins, Mike (Terri) Watkins, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, godparents, and godchild, Kaitlyn Harden.

Chrissy has a beautiful soul and was a comforting presence to all who loved her, including many lifelong friends. 

She is predeceased by her grandparents and great grandparents. 

Visiting hours will be held at Fretthold and Hamp Funeral Home, located at 37 Adam Street in Tonawanda, on Friday May 19th from 3pm - 7pm.A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 20, at Salem Church of Christ, 114 Morgan Street, in Tonawanda. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Chrissy's name to Autism Speaks, Autismspeaks.org.
