Carol M. Ganster

Carol M. Ganster (nee MacDonald), age 82, of Tonawanda, New York on September 4, 2022. She passed away peacefully at home in the care of her daughter Carolyn and her family, in Hurst, Texas.

Carol was born on Grand Island to the late William and Mable (nee Ott) MacDonald. She was one of nine daughters: Helen (late Wilfred) Haigh, Margaret (late Thomas) Lee, Wilma (late Glenford) Greenwood, Joyce (late Stuart) Neill, Leona (Truman) Stevens, Kathleen (late Dale) McKenzie, the late Marion Lebica, and the late Audrey (late Albert) Parker. Carol was a loving wife to the late Edward G. Ganster, who passed in 2015. Mother to Denise Boyer (late Bobby Dutton Jr.) of Niagara Falls and Carolyn Geisel Philips (Craig Philips) of Hurst, Texas. Cherished Mimi to Sarah (Robert) Cardamone, Carl, Mark (Emily), and Beth Geisel, and her great grandchildren Emily Peppard and Gracie Cardamone. She will be greeted by her beloved late cat, Rascal. Carol was the long-time secretary for Sugar Kake Cookie Inc. until her retirement in 1998 and a life long Buffalo Bills fan, having gone to all four super bowls! 
 
Family and friends may call at Fretthold and Hamp Funeral Home, 37 Adam St, at Seymour St., in Tonawanda on Wednesday from 3-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Francis of Assisi Chapel at 73 Adam St. on Thursday at 11am. Memorials may be made to Saint Francis of Assisi RC Church in Carols name.
