Bridget R. Hawn

Bridget R. Hawn, age 62, passed away unexpectedly at home on May 9, 2023. 

Graduate of Tonawanda High School in 1978. After high school she began her career in the quality control industry. Bridget was an ordained minister and a Reiki healer. She loved her rescue animals and had many dogs and cats over the years. Bridget was known for her kindness, she was a sweet soul who shared love unconditionally and everyone she met she held in her heart.  She had a strong faith and a love of angels. She was creative and enjoyed painting and quilting. Bridget was an avid reader and loved getting lost within the pages of a good novel and was also an avid music lover.  She also loved baking, grilling, and smoking meat on her Traeger, and enjoyed sharing her creations. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends as they were the most cherished thing in her life.   

Daughter of the late Richard and Joanne Hawn. Also predeceased by her sister Kathie Trzepacz.

Loving sister to Karol Devald, Kolleen (Gary) Woods, Mark (Anne Marie) Hawn, She will be missed terribly by her loving sister and best friend, Susan Royce.

Loving aunt to Douglas (Sabrina) Redman, Kristina (Paul) Pieri, Gary (Kristi) Woods, Jr., Amanda (Chris) Pienta, Kelly (Eric) Tupper, Kent Devald, Ryan (Julie) Hawn, Robert (Megan) Hawn, Mark Hawn, Jr. Also loved by many great nieces and nephews. 

She will be sadly missed by her dogs Winnifred Rose and Poppy. She will be missed by so many beloved friends. 

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Fretthold & Hamp Funeral home, located at 37 Adam Street, Tonawanda, NY on Saturday, May 20th from 1pm to 5pm, with a short service at 4pm. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to SPCA serving Erie County or SABAH Inc.
