Mom, You were my Mother-in-Law but I always called you Mom. You inspired me as a career woman, having a job and raising a family at a time when few women did. You always made me laugh with your witty comments. I lived by your words "put your troubles on the back burner and just keep going."

Erin and I took a road trip to see you two years ago. We knew it would be the last time we would visit. It was such a tender visit. We sat in the court yard, held your hand and talked. Even then, you acknowledged everyone around us and said something cheery and positive. You changed us with your attitude, knowing that what ever chaos enveloped around us, things would always be OK.

I have missed you for a long time. I missed our weekly phone calls when they stopped. I am glad you had a long life life and knew happiness and how to create it. I am glad in the end your were surrounded by your children. You were so loved.

With fond memories,

Linda

To Mike and Family,
I was so sorry to hear that your mom/grandmother had passed away, but I''''m glad you were all able to be with her at the end.  I''''m sure that gave her comfort. I have a quote on my refrigerator that says:

"Those we love remain with us, for love itself lives on.
Cherished memories never fade because a loved one is gone.
Those we love shall never be more than a thought apart,
for as long as there are memories they will live on in our heart."
