Ronald Edgar Westlake, age 78, of the Town of Tonawanda, passed away at DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility on Sunday, April 19, 2020, after a lengthy illness. Born January 19, 1942 in North Tonawanda, he was the son of the late Edgar and Gertrude (nee Green) Westlake. Ron was a lifelong resident of the Town of Tonawanda and graduated in 1960 from Kenmore West High School. He loved Elvis and enjoyed fixing and restoring cars. He liked watching NASCAR and attending NASCAR races. Ron had worked at the General Motors Engine Plant in the Town of Tonawanda for 37 years until retiring.
He was the husband of Elizabeth (nee Mullett) Westlake and former husband of the late Jo-Irene Westlake; father of Laura Westlake, Amy Adamchick, and Pam (Todd) Zawadzki; step-father of Elizabeth Seeger and Rachel Reed; and brother of Bill Westlake, Barb Metzger, and the late Jimmy Westlake, late Ed Westlake, and late Joan Hamilton. Also surviving are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He will be sorely missed.
Services were cared for privately. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date to be announced.
