Bonnie J. Dan

Bonnie J. Dan, passed away on April 23, 2024. Born November 28, 1929 to the late Emma Horan Smith and William E. Smith. Graduated from Tonawanda Senior High School in 1947. Predeceased by her husband Silviu Dan Sr. whom she married on February 3, 1951. Also survived by her children, Christine Kuntz, Silviu (Allene (Chi-Chi) Dan Jr., Suzanne (Paul) Hemple, Michael (Mary) Dan. Grandmother of  Christopher, Shawn, Nathan (Victoria), Mallory (Josh) Pisarek, Samuel Kuntz, Nicholas Hemple, Kristie (Ray) Keidel, Stephanie (Grady) Fleitas, Michael Jr. Amanda, Jasmine Dan, as well as 12 great-grandchildren. Sister of the late Roger P. (Margaret) Smith, and the late David R. Smith. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Retired secretary for the North Tonawanda School District. Member of St. George Orthodox Church where she was a member of the choir. Member of DeGraff Hospital Auxiliary, former member of The DeGraff Auxiliary Board and hospital volunteer for many years. Former volunteer and member of the Deerwood Women's Golf League. Member of the National and Local DAV Auxiliary Roll of Honor Chapter #120, Friends of the Riviera and NT Senior Center. 

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Fretthold & Hamp Funeral Home, located at 37 Adam Street, in Tonawanda, on Friday, April 26th, from 2pm - 8pm. A funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, April 27th, beginning at 10am. Interment at Elmlawn Memorial Park.
